About Me

As an internationally active consultant, I advise companies from various industries on matters related to organic search. This includes lead-generation companies in the B2B sector, e-commerce businesses, publishers, and marketplaces. As a specialist in search strategies, technical SEO, and international SEO, I help these companies navigate the challenges in the highly dynamic field of organic search with a holistic approach.

Often, these are websites that, due to strategic or infrastructural reasons, struggle to fully realize their potential in search. Therefore, I assist in re-evaluating and improving strategies, updating the technical infrastructure to the latest standards, implementing or enhancing internal processes, and building up team capabilities. This ultimately results in more relevant and improved organic reach, and consequently, increased revenue through organic search queries.

As an advisor to investors, I support the evaluation of potential acquisitions, provide guidance and development for portfolio companies, and assist in the overall strategic direction of the portfolio.

In addition to my consulting work, I have been serving for many years as a judge for the European Search Awards, Global Search Awards, US Search Awards, UK Search Awards, and the European eCommerce Awards. The European Search Awards are among the largest events on the global search calendar, showcasing innovative campaigns from across Europe in over 70 categories.

From 2010 to 2014, I worked in-house as an SEO at TopTarif, one of the three major comparison platforms for electricity, gas, automotive, insurance, and finance. From 2014 to 2020, I was Head of SEO at Peak Ace AG, where I was responsible for national and international SEO consulting and led a team of SEO consultants and editors.

Since September 2015, I have been the German brand ambassador for Majestic. My responsibilities include advising Majestic on their marketing activities for the German-speaking market. In addition, together with other ambassadors, I am part of a think tank focused on product improvement and further development. Majestic is one of the most internationally recognized companies in the field of link data and one of the most important global data providers.

Since 2021 I’m also a brand ambassador for Oncrawl, which is one of the most awarded tools in our fantastic industry in recent times. As Oncrawl combines technical SEO, data connections and R&D in one platform, it is definitely a very good tool for international working SEOs like me who deal a lot with technical stuff.

Oncrawl is an SEO and data platform that combines technical SEO, machine learning and data science into a single platform for exceptional analytics. It consists of an SEO crawler and a logfile analyser combined with native connectors to other data sources such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics and the Oncrawl Labs, with pre-programmed data science projects. The company is based in Bordeaux, France.

I also speak at meetups and conferences, lead expert workshops, and host webinars. For several years, I was also a lecturer at the AFS Academy, which is dedicated to providing high-quality education and training in the field of SEO. My key topics include strategy, crawling, indexing, rendering, targeting, internal linking, link building, and I’m also happy to present on a topic of your choice.

I’ve spoken or led workshops at conferences such as SMX Munich, eMetrics Berlin, the London Affiliate Conference, SEOkomm Academy, SEOday, SEOVibes, brightonSEO, SEOCruise, and the Search Conference. I’d be delighted to speak at your event on an exciting SEO topic as well.
